American Incinerator Corporation

“Found this in a 1950’s Cape Cod in Grosse Point, MI. Nameplate is interesting. It reads:
Buy American
Instructions
All refuse must be wrapped in small, tight packages.
Do not deposit loose dust, sweepings, meal, flour or any other explosives.
Model R-32 Serial 2 (I think there were more characters the camera didn’t pick up)
American Incinerator Corporation
Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.”
This was in a basement next to a fireplace which explains the gas lines in front of it. I like the placement and presentation.

Just noticing this in my basement. As I look in I found Partially burned books Or magazines, from 1981 as I’m looking at this it’s crazy because this place is so old and I know this company was shut down should I have any fear of what is in there cancerous, hurtful hurtful things should I worry about this?
